“Day 25.” Ugandan artist Natasha Kashushu believes that the reason African folktales and mythologies are not existent in the books of history and literature and the mainstream media is because our art was destroyed during colonial times. She believes her duty as an artist now is to use her artwork to create stories that will make a mark in the books of African history a thousand years from now.
